1st Month

Wow, I can't believe that I have already been in Thailand for a month. God has constantly blessed me beyond my wildest dreams since I have been here.

I tried to come into Thailand with very little expectations, but I'm sure that I had a couple expectations, not necessarily about the culture but about how I would adapt. The expectations that I did have God has blown out of the water.
-My language learning have been awesome. God has really blessed me with a heart to learn this language, and not only that He has allowed me to pick up the tones easily. I have been told that I have been learning faster than most people. I have constantly been asked how long was my first trip to Thailand, and do I take class every day. I have to tell them that I have only taken 7 classes! They are usually blown out of the water and then say "Kin Maak!" which means very skilled! But I have to respond with the truth, that it is all a blessing from God! I couldn't learn any of this language without Him constantly blessing me!
-Ministry has been different but it has been a blessing in a different way. I have been in full learning mode since I have been here. Learning language, culture, and how to be a blessing to people behind the scenes (kind of makes me feel like head gopher in the happening) very humbling experience, which is something that I need more of.
-Most of all has been my guidance by Our Heavenly Father. He has been constantly steering me different ways, constantly saying two different things to me. 1) That He sets the captives free, and to set them free in His name. Mostly from sin, but I feel like He will be wanting me to do it literally soon.... whatever that means. 2) To be still and quite and just like the David Crowder song Only You "Its just you and me here now, its only you and me here now" God has constantly been making me get into His presence, meditate on His word, and grow in Him and with Him ALONE! This is a new step for me. I enjoy leading, and being led, and to worship in groups and learn in groups and share what I am learning, but God has been telling me, abide in me. Just like the vine and the branch. God is good!

Praise God for the great things He has done.
